Report: Red Sox acquire shortstop Adalberto Mondesi from Royals

The Boston Red Sox acquired shortstop Adalberto Mondesi from the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday, MLB.com's Mark Feinsand is reporting.
Going to the Royals is left-handed reliever Josh Taylor. The Red Sox will also receive another player to be named later.
Mondesi played in just 15 games last season for the Royals before he tore his ACL in late April and missed the remainder of the year. He batted .140/.204/.140 over 54 plate appearances before the injury. He has a career .244 average over 1,273 at-bats.

The Red Sox are acquiring infielder Adalberto Mondesi and a player to be named later from the Royals, reports Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Boston will send lefty reliever Josh Taylor to Kansas City in the trade. Univision's Mike Rodriguez first reported that the two sides were getting close to a trade involving Mondesi.
