Davis: Groin was 'really bothering me' in win vs. Knicks

With the start of the play-in tournament less than a week away, Anthony Davis indicated he's now battling groin tightness. "I'm hurting," the Los Angeles Lakers star said following Tuesday's 101-99 overtime win over the New York Knicks, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "Not more so my body, just my groin got tight.... I'm not sure about (Wednesday's contest versus the Houston Rockets). I mean, I'm going to get treatment and see how I feel. I want to say I'm going to play, but it was really bothering me tonight." "Very, very strong possibility that I fight through it and play since the next day is an off day," Davis continued. "But I also don't want to have this lagging and then now I'm out for a couple games." Davis played a team-high 43 minutes Tuesday, finishing with 20 points on 8-of-23 shooting. He also recorded six rebounds, four assists, and a steal. The seventh-seeded Lakers are currently set to host the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference play-in tournament.
